Now Open for Public Worship!
We are pleased to announce that Hope Lutheran Church is resuming public worship services this weekend, June 20th and 21st. Services will be held at 5:00 on Saturdays, and 8:00 and 10:30 on Sundays. Please note the change in time for the second service! It has been moved back 15 minutes to accommodate the extra cleaning and sanitization that needs to be done between services. It will also allow for more time for Sunday School between services when that is resumed.
We will be following all CDC and IDPH guidelines as we reopen. As a result, we ask that everyone who comes to worship wear a mask and practice social distancing while in the building. If you are not feeling well, please refrain from attending worship out of consideration for others. Most areas of the church will be blocked off to minimize the space that is used. Only the entryway, sanctuary and bathrooms will be available for use on the weekends. This will help cut down the amount of cleaning that will need to be done afterwards. For more information on what to expect when you come for worship, please click on the banner above.
As restrictions are lifted in future phases of the governor’s reopening plan, we will make adjustments accordingly and communicate any changes to you. Those changes will be posted on our website and sent out by email and letters.
Our worship services will be quite a bit different, at least for the foreseeable future, but we look forward to seeing you all again soon. If you are not comfortable returning for public worship services at this time, we understand. If you have any questions about the reopening or if you need ministry from Pastor Ryden, please feel free to call. We want everyone to stay healthy in both body and spirit.
God bless you all and see you soon!
I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord.”
